If I fail in one subject in Class 12, can I still apply for JEE Main 2019? ?


f you appeared for Class 12 in 2016 but failed in the subject and are appearing in 2017, you are not eligible. But if you appeared in 2017 and have failed in one subject, you have to cleared it in 2018, you are eligible. If you have failed in 2018 and are appearing in 2019, you are eligible to appear for JEE Mains 2019.

If I appear for improvement in 5 subjects, which scores will be taken into consideration for JEE Main 2019? ?


The better of the scores will be taken into consideration.

Can I appear for improvement in one subject in Class XII and apply for JEE? ?


Yes you can. However, it is valid if the attempt is for getting the requisite 75% in Class 12. If it is to get into the top 20 percentile, then you have to appear in all five subjects.

What is the eligibility criteria to apply for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs? ?


The candidates should have secured at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category) or be in the top 20 percentile in 12th standard (or equivalent) board examination.

How will I know my State of Eligibility for JEE Main 2019? ?


The state from where the candidate has completed his/her 12th standard qualifying examination will be his/her state of eligibility. For example, if a candidate has qualified his/her 12th standard examination from Haryana then his/her state of eligibility will be Haryana. The state code of eligibility will be provided by JEE Main 2019 officials and the respective code has to be filled by the candidates in the application form.

To be eligible under home state quota for NITs, what should my state of eligibility be? ?


To be eligible for home state quota for NITs, the state of eligibility of the candidates should be the same as to which state the NIT is located. For e.g., for admission into the home state quota of NIT Warangal, the candidate should have qualified 12th standard examination from Telangana.

I have failed in Class 12 and appeared for the exam again. Can I apply for JEE Main 2019? ?


Yes. If the candidates satisfy the 12th standard qualifying year and date of birth specified by the authorities, then they will be eligible to apply for JEE Main 2019

If I wish to apply for JEE Main 2019 paper 2, what is the eligibility needed? ?


The eligibility is the same as mentioned above for JEE Main 2019 Paper I. However, for admission to B.Arch programme through paper 2, candidates need to study PCM in their 10+2 and have secured 50% in aggregate in these subjects and 50% individually too.

The categories which will be eligible for admissions through reservation for All India Quota seats through JEE Main 2019 are - SC/ST/OBC category candidates, Women candidates, PwD candidates with 40% or more disability and home state candidates.
